Hosting Solution Architect/SME

Consulted on the creation of the conceptual architectural design of, and associated business case documentation for, the Whole of Victorian Government’s shared IT service initiative (Efficient Technology Services).

Provided advisory on all aspects of the lifecycle of shared services operations including service architecture (including working closely with Enterprise Architects for integration of solution into existing WoVG Enterprise Architecture), service descriptions, costing, staffing/resourcing and ongoing service management / operational requirements.

Business case was successful in gaining cabinet expenditure review committee (ERC) approval to proceed & secured AUD$90 Million+ funding allocation.

Responsibly included:

·        Research of new and emerging technologies for Green-IT and workplace economic

·        Present to the stakeholders of the whole of Victorian government

Technical Project Manager for DR and Server Consolidation and Virtualization

 Enabled the Victorian Government to implement their DR strategy and server consolidation, according to the aggressive timetable required to support their business initiatives while reducing/eliminating substantial ongoing maintenance costs.

Provided key technical consulting, implementation advisory and technical program management across a range of projects including server consolidation, SAN storage & backup and DR implementation as well as the migration of all server and services infrastructure from physical to virtual servers, to support this major upgrade to the department’s range of technology platforms.
